The life of a believer is compared to the construction of a building. (Luke 6:46-49). The most important feature of any solid and permanent structure is the foundation. The foundation sets a limit to the weight and height of the building to be erected. There is a fixed relationship between the foundation and the building. If the foundation is not laid properly, it will not be able to support the building. We see that the only true foundation is Jesus Christ Himself. Not a creed, not a church, not a denomination, not an ordinance or ceremony, no other person.

There are four stages an individual must experience personally in regard to building on the Rock of Jesus Christ.

1. A direct, personal confrontation
        (Christ Experienced)
2. A direct, personal revelation
        (Christ Revealed)
3. A personal acknowledgment of the Truth revealed
        (Acknowledgment of the Truth)
4. An open and public Confession of Truth

What is the foundation for what you believe? After confession, we begin to build on that foundation of Jesus Christ. How? We begin to build on the foundation by diligently studying and applying the teaching of God’s Word.

New Image 101 is a study of basic Christian beliefs common to all believers in Jesus Christ.
During the six week study, we’ll address the Word of God, Repentance, Water Baptism, Holy Spirit Baptism, Communion, Prayer, Fellowship, Stewardship, Divine Healing, Gifts of the Spirit, Evangelism and Church Membership. It is imperative for EVERY Christian believer to know what he believes and why.
